Internships at the Aquarium offer college students, recent college graduates and career changers dynamic experiences in areas throughout the Aquarium including veterinary services, animal husbandry, research, conservation, education, museum operations, and more. Interns gain hands on knowledge working alongside dedicated supervisors and mentors who are experts in their fields.

Internship Positions

Internships are available for the winter, spring, summer and fall. Spring, summer and fall internships are 12-16 weeks long (see individual position descriptions for specific requirements), while winter internships range between 4 and 6 weeks and require a minimum of 125 total hours. Not all positions are available year round, and the time commitment varies slightly depending on the department. Internships are UNPAID and we DO NOT provide housing assistance.
